The official world-builder (aka map editor) enabling creation of skirmish and multiplayer maps for Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. Released by Electronic Arts on April 19. From the readme file:
Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars(tm) Worldbuilder
ReadMe File - April, 2007
Thank you for downloading Worldbuilder for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars. Electronic Arts designers use this development toolset to create single-player missions and multiplayer maps for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, including all of the maps and missions that shipped with the game, and now it's available to you.
IMPORTANT: This Software is Provided "As-Is"
This toolset was originally designed and primarily intended for internal use by the designers at Electronic Arts, and as such, it is not commercial software primarily designed for mass-market use. Therefore, Worldbuilder is provided on an "as-is" basis. Electronic Arts (EA) does not provide Technical Support or Customer Support for Worldbuilder. You may only use Worldbuilder pursuant to the terms and conditions of the EA Tools & Materials End User License, which you will be prompted to accept or decline each time you run the software.
NOTE: While Worldbuilder is not officially supported at all, it was primarily used with the Windows XP operating system during the development of Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, and may work less reliably in other operating systems. Any references to file locations or operating system instructions in this ReadMe file assume you are running Windows XP.
Known Issues with Supported Map Types
Worldbuilder was originally intended to let designers create three different types of maps: Multiplayer maps, Skirmish maps (which can also be used for multiplayer matches), and Single-player Campaign maps.
However, this public release of Worldbuilder is specifically intended to let you create multiplayer or skirmish maps only. While the Worldbuilder toolset contains features for creating single-player campaign maps (as well as documentation for creating such maps), Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars is not compatible with user-created single-player campaign content at this time.
A separate Mod SDK release for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars will enable users to create and run their own single-player content for the game. If you do not have the Mod SDK for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, you may still use Worldbuilder to learn and explore methods for creating single-player content. However, you will not be able to fully test or play this content unless you have the Mod SDK.
Consequently, those Worldbuilder features that pertain specifically to single-player campaign map design (such as artificial intelligence behavior and scripting) should be used at your own risk. Furthermore, the provided documentation of these features is for educational use only.
